A speech by the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department

Technological advancements have fostered the emergence of many engineering disciplines focused on the medical field, particularly biomedical engineering, which is a highly important discipline in the world of medicine and health, given its significant role in supporting the medical sector with the expertise it needs in the fields of maintenance, design, and technical support in various fields and for various medical equipment. Thus, the Department of Biomedical Engineering was established at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, positioning it as a pioneer among Iraqi universities in terms of scientific value, educational outcomes, and infrastructure, including appropriate laboratories. It also embraces students and their contributions in various scientific, cultural, and community activities, integrating them into a sophisticated society in all its diversity.

 In the Department of Biomedical Engineering, we strive to equip graduates with the ability to work in a superior engineering environment, whether as part of a team or independently, with high efficiency and productivity. We also strive to provide the appropriate management skills to lead medical and technical institutions. 

We believe that the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University will be one of the leading departments among Iraqi universities, due to its commitment to quality standards, its focus on the teaching process, and its connection with the community.

We look forward to achieving further development to enhance the quality of the department's academic output by integrating more advanced technologies and adopting advanced curricula and teaching methods. This is all supported by the university's presidency and administration and the Deanship of the College of Engineering.
